Co-Developing Team Principles & Practices
When teams need stronger foundations
Team principles and practices are the roots that anchor and nourish everything a team grows. A facilitated process to co-develop shared team principles and practices helps clarify how your team works together in service of its purpose. This work builds common ground around values, beliefs, and expectations, and translates them into practical ways of working.
Teams that don’t have clear principles and practices tend to struggle to make decisions together, discern priorities, navigate disagreement and be congruent between their stated beliefs and real-time actions.
Rather than aspirational statements on paper, aligned principles and practices become living guideposts, informing day-to-day behaviours, decision-making, collaboration, communication, and strategy. They remind us of what’s important to us and what we are learning to become as a team. They act as a compass during periods of change and uncertainty, supporting values-aligned action, coherence, and intentional impact.
